OMG it finally works!!!
i totally hate xanga though,
finally loaded after eons.
bish.
so the last weekend and the week before was really hectic.
let's start with Singapore!
i went to Singapore with Clarissa, Galen, Ken, Rebecca and Joanne.
it was pretty awesome fun
:)
but I realised I spent most of my money buying presents for other people. :P
i got this funny shirt for my dad.
at first glance, it says I love Singapore.
but the LOVE shape, close up, actually says, 'was fined in'
so it actually says 'I was fined in Singapore'
my dad thought it was funny :D
haha
i had a good time getting to know everyone
Clarissa and I have the same taste in clothes. :D
and it was fun bonding with Galen, who was my ex-school mate from Sri Sempurna
and ken is a cool guy, even if he talks randomly and unexpectedly.
LOL
some pics that I made into GIF images, will hopefully make u laugh :P:
this was taken at Sky Park in Vivo City, Singapore's biggest mall.
galen, ken and I didn't wanna go but Clarissa made us. the view however, was gorgeous. clarissa and i were in fits of laughter as we were taking pics. i can't remember the reason why we were laughing though. :O
a jumping shot taken in the park by the sea near Esplanade. :D not a very successful attempt, I'm afraid. :(
this was taken at a park near Siamtec Mall if I'm not mistaken :O
Rebecca, Joanne, and I at Night Safari
altogether a memorable trip. i'm going again I think, next month, with my parents this time.
:)
i love Singapore though, other than the fact we had to walk literally EVERYWHERE. and my legs ached like nobody's business when I got back.
last Saturday was Sports Day! i ran the 100m and got 3rd for the qualifying round. totally didn't expect to pass. :O
I didn't win the finals though, which was pretty sucky but oh well. :D didn't manage to run for the 4x100 which was pretty disappointing but oh well! :(
netball won!!!! for the fourth time in a row!!!
so proud of the girls! :D
footballers actually placed 3rd. super proud of them too.
and our guy runners placed 2nd and 1st. :) awesomeness!i feel such a sense of pride in my school when we win.
haha silliness.
sunday morning was spent at St. Andrews church in KL. it was pretty different from what I was used to because it was all hymns and saying Bible verses while standing up., choir performance was okay. after that Mr Chong took Aida, Tim, Mr. Chin San Sooi (i think that's his name but everyone calls him San Sooi) and I for lunch at Top Hat. woah lunch was super expensive. :S:S
everything there was 28 above. no joke. :O
the pie tees were super nice though. after that went out with a bunch of TCS-ians (well four of us to be more exact :D) to One Utama. watched Star Trek. Bry had to leave early though so I didn't get to finish watching the movie. boo. oh well. :( surprisingly Star Trek didn't suck as much as i thought it would. and I'm surprised my mom let me go since 'he' was going. but I bet she thought something might have been going on, as usual. why can't ppl just accept the fact that once things are over, people can just be friends AND nothing more??? ishness. can't a boy and a girl just be friends with nothing going on?? *shakes head* when i'm a mom one day, i want my kids to be able to tell me EVERYTHING. :P and i won't freak out or will try not to when they tell me big stuff?? haha.
but that's easy to say now, i suppose, even as I'm just a kid. :P
or not really a kid., since I'm 18.
i feel quite annoyed sometimes when my parents get overprotective of me.
i suppose it's because I'm the youngest and I'm a girl.
but they are going to have to accept I'm going to be 20 soon... well in two years haha. and in the meantime I'm going to have to make my own decisions, choices and mistakes. they're going to have to trust me to not screw up?? LOL :P
and in the meantime i HAVE tried to be more responsible and appreciative towards them
and I'm getting better at it too. i thank them when they fetch me and i notice all the little things they do for me. which is alot really. :) all in all, they mean well, even though I would have something to say about their parenting methods sometimes. *shrugs* but what kid doesn't??? :P
my mother complains i'm too superficial
my house is undergoing renovations now. i wish the process would speed itself up cos i got a headache this morning from all the banging and drilling. bleah.
anyway am reading the Cross and the Switchblade, super recommended this book. really inspirational.
things have got me thinking.
I do want to make an impact when I leave this earth.
God help me, I'll try.
speaking of God, went to FGA singapore. it's a pretty cool church. :) and the message really moved me.
it's totally mindblowing to trust in God to the full, because it's such a difficult thing to do.,
But i guess we can all do it, if we try!
:)
i downloaded an 'Owl City' and 'Priscilla Ahn' album, thanks to my brother's recommendation.
they're both pretty good.
anyway this has been a pretty long post and I'm tired.
so byeeee.
